Knee Supports
FAQs
Questions about Knee Sleeves & Wraps? We’ve got the answers.
1. What is the difference between knee wraps and knee sleeves for strength training?
Knee wraps are elastic strips you tightly wind around each knee, giving high levels of compression and a “spring” effect to help with very heavy squats or max lifts. In contrast, knee sleeves are tubular, neoprene or compression garments you slide over your knees. They offer moderate support, warmth, compression, and joint stability but less “powered” rebound than wraps.

2. How do I choose the correct size and fit for knee sleeves and wrap support?
For sleeves: measure around the centre of your knee (or as manufacturer instructs) when your leg is slightly bent. Pick the size where the material is snug but not cutting off circulation—too loose and it won’t provide compression; too tight and it may reduce mobility.
For wraps: length (e.g. 1.8m, 2m) and elasticity matter — longer wraps give more ability to wind tension. Always test with lighter weights first.
4. When should I wear knee sleeves or wraps, and can they help with joint pain or injury prevention?
Wear them during heavy squats, leg presses, lunges or training days when your knees need extra support. Knee sleeves are useful even on moderate days — they retain warmth, improve proprioception, and may reduce joint discomfort. Wraps are better for very heavy, low-rep maximal efforts. They may help reduce excessive strain and provide joint stability. That said, they don’t replace proper technique, mobility work, or rehabilitation.
